eternity in my heart.

eternity in my heart.

I live with eternity in my heart.

Sometimes it’s so real I can touch it.

Sometimes it’s so very far away.

No matter what it feels like, I remain constant in what I believe – the promise of eternity with God in Heaven.

Death came early for so many in other times and places. How did they manage? Did they see something we don’t see much these days?

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

I am comforted when I remember there will be a day when God will make everything right.  When tears and pain and grieving and death are gone forever.

And we will be reunited with those we love who died too soon.

How can you live without this hope?

trust.

trust.

We all trust in something that keeps us going each day.

When we get up in the morning, we trust the water will be there for teeth brushing, shower taking, and coffee making.

We trust our transportation will be there.

When we come home, we trust that our house or apartment will be there.

We were made to trust.stepping-stones-over-the-river-mole-box-hill-dorking-2_l

The fact that we don’t think about every step we take tells me just how much we are made to trust.

But then, something bad happens. Sometimes it’s something small and we react with frustration.

Sometimes it’s big and we get confused.

Take that trust you have with the simple things, and apply it to the big things.

Because the One who made you to trust with the small things – has made you to trust with the big things.

You just didn’t know it.

friday’s quote.

friday’s quote.

“In this sad world of ours sorrow comes to all and it often comes with bitter agony. Perfect relief is not possible except with time. You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again. Knowing this, truly believing it will make you less miserable now. I have had enough experience to make this statement.”

Sometimes, we just need to look at things from a different angle.
