Sometimes we stay in situations that we can change.
I’m not talking about giving up on your commitments when it is a selfish move that will hurt or affect others adversely.
But there are times when we don’t think of ourselves – don’t take care of ourselves.
There are certainly times of enduring situations which require us to either stop whining and grow up or stand strong and be brave.
Then there are the times when we can make changes to make things easier for us. If no one else is giving us permission we have to give ourselves permission. We can get so stuck in a rut that we don’t even consider a change.
No one is responsible for your happiness but you.
What can you do today to thrust yourself out of the suffering slump you are in?
Our choices have to override our emotions. This isn’t easy to do but once you realize how you’re feeling isn’t always an honest assessment of your situation, you get in a routine of thinking differently.
I remember one time feeling like everything was closing in – irritable, cabin-fever, bored. So I decided to go for a walk. I discovered how much better I felt. My whole perspective changed.
This is the beginning of a new week. Do one thing each day despite how you are feeling, especially if you’re in a slump.
What if around the corner, everything will change?’
What if you could step into another dimension and see life very differently than you do right now?
Life is more than what you see.
Today may be grim with heartache and discouragement. You may be lonely and really believe no one cares.
Things are not always as they appear.
God has figured our sadness into the equation and knows you will smile again.
What if God has your concerns taken care of? And you just are not aware of it?

I know what it feels like when it seems that things will not change.
It feels like your situation will never end and it will consume you.
The thing I have personally experienced is – it won’t.
Have you thought about the immensity of the earth and 2/3 is covered by water?
And yet it does not overtake the land.
How much more important are you?
God is fully aware of your situation.
We have to be patient and wait. He knows the right moment for it to change.
Meanwhile, God keeps you close. It may not seem like it but he does. It’s not until you look back that you see it.

Where am I going?
I am baffled.
I was headed there. I was certain of it.
But when it happened, everything changed.
And now I am here.
It’s cold. Everything looks dismal. This is not where I want to be.
Then I looked up. I saw the light. It is the one thing that is constant. It’s always there. Even when I cannot see it.
And it will guide me.

You may have tried to do everything right. But despite your hard work, you are gripped with despair, disappointment, and discouragement.
Everything can change tomorrow.
Brick walls are penetrable.
