They spent 2 months sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.
When they reached the shores of the New World, they found an abandoned Indian village and nothing more.
More than 1/2 of them died the first winter.
And yet, a year later, they celebrated a 3 day celebration of Thanksgiving.
Sometimes, even when you do the right thing, lots of things go wrong.
As one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone to many, yea in some sort to our whole nation.
